A psychiatrist by training from Fudan University, Shanghai Medical College and a licensed clinical psychologist in California, Dr. Tong is a Clinical Associate Professor with the Stanford Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, Center for Integrative Medicine. Dr. Tong is well versed in a number of evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Interpersonal Psychotherapy and Seeking Safety.  She works with adults on a number of conditions including anxiety, depression, relational problems, insomnia, loss and grief, parenting skills and trauma.  She is also a Jon Kabat-Zinn certified Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction (MBSR) instructor and trainer and a qualified Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy instructor by the Oxford Mindfulness Center. She is instrumental in bringing western-developed mindfulness programs into mainland China since 2011 and works closely with Drs. Jon Kabat-Zinn, Jack Kornfield and Mark Williams.
