Approach to Therapy:

I’m an American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) certified Pediatric Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist. The doctoral candidate in Speech-Language Pathology at Northwestern University. I’m also currently holding Speech-Language Pathologist licenses in Florida, Georgia, and California. I have experience in working at schools, clinics, and telepractice.

I dedicate to embracing children with communication disorders, including Articulation, Speech and Language Delay, social skills deficits and Autism, etc. From the day one I began working for children with Communication disorder, I felt a deep connection to the children and their families that turned there for help. These children have enormous needs, requiring concerted efforts as diverse as speech and language, sensory processing, behavior management, nutrition, and cognitive development. Sometimes, there is a stigma attached to receiving specialized help for children with a common refrain being the child will grow out of it. However, the problems may not disappear - they may compound - and issues with speech and language will lead to academic and social issues. The earlier a child receive support he needs, the better his speech and language outcome will be. I hope to provide children with speech and language disabilities, a better chance at success and happiness in life. 

Services Provided in the Clinic:

Administer norm-referenced tests, functional assessments, screening, and evaluations via tele-therapy for Mandarin/English families.

Provide evidence-based individual therapy to children with articulation disorder/language delay/Autism Spectrum/development delay etc. via tele-therapy.

Provide training and consultation to parents and caregivers regarding children with speech and language development disorder, including bridging the gap between school-based therapy and children’s needs in their daily lives.

Population I Work With:

I work with children between 3-12 years old.

I also offer parents coaching and provided the necessary skills through many hands-on experiences regarding speech and language development.

Q & A about insurance coverage:

For psychotherapy/psychiatry medication management services, we are Out-of-Network providers. If you seek our services, you will be expected to pay the full fee by yourself. We offer you receipts for the service you receive from us, and you can submit them to your insurance for reimbursement. Most insurance companies may cover part of the fee (50-80% typically) for out-of-network providers like us. We would also encourage you to contact your insurance company ahead of time to find out the reimbursement rate, which may help you make your decisions for treatment.
