Jing Xu, PsyD
My name is Jing Xu, Psy.D. I’m a licensed psychologist. I am also a lecturer at Santa Clara University for the School of Counseling Psychology. I speak English and Mandarin fluently and hold degrees from Stanford University, Santa Clara University, and California Southern University.
I provide psychotherapy and neuropsychological assessment in both English and Mandarin. I work with adults, children, adolescents, and families around concerns such as anxiety, insomnia, relationship difficulties, work stress, trauma, and struggles with self-worth. Many of these challenges are rooted in early life experiences and long-standing emotional patterns. In our work together, I offer a space to help you understand these patterns and develop healthier, more balanced ways of living.
As an Asian American, I bring a personal understanding of cultural differences and social justice. I also have extensive experience working with children and adolescents in school settings, supporting families through academic, social, and developmental challenges.
In addition to therapy, I conduct psychological and neuropsychological assessments, including evaluations for ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, IQ testing, and giftedness.
I hope to walk alongside you through life’s difficult moments, supporting your healing and helping you move toward greater clarity, resilience, and inner freedom.

Kaiser Permanente
Before scheduling psychotherapy or assessment/evaluation services with us, all clients need a verified external referral from Kaiser after their screening. Please contact your Kaiser clinic for processing. If you do not have the referral, Kaiser will not reimburse your fees. If you have an older referral, we advise you to call the clinic to confirm it is still valid.
Dr. Jing also takes self-pay clients. As an out-of-network provider, if you use our services, you will be expected to pay the full fee yourself. We offer you Superbill receipts for the service you receive from us, and you can submit them to your insurance for possible reimbursement. Most insurance companies may cover part of the fee (50-80% typically) for out-of-network providers like us.
Dr. Jing also offers psychological assessment services, such as IQ tests, and ADHD/ ASD diagnostic tests. Please see our assessment page for more information.
