Wan-chen Weng, PhD
I am a licensed psychologist practicing in California and Oregon. I hold a PhD degree in Counseling Psychology program from Columbia University in 2016. My graduate training was rooted in multicultural competency and social justice. I received extensive training in various settings, including hospitals, community centers and college counseling centers. I was trained as a generalist in practice and have dedicated my work to understand unique experiences of diverse clientele and walk with them through the journey of healing. My approach is warm, collaborative and social justice-oriented. My theoretical orientation adopts an integrative approach, incorporating psychodynamic, DBT (dialectical behavioural therapy), ACT (acceptance and commitment), mindfulness and interpersonal process.
I was born and grew up in Taiwan and pursued my graduate training in the US. As an international being and a woman of color, I understand the importance of examining how the systematic oppression impact intersecting identities and mental health. I honor your cultural contexts whether they are a source of pride or marginalization in helping me understand your lived experiences.

Kaiser Permanente
Dr. Weng is currently in-network with Kaiser. Before scheduling psychotherapy or assessment/evaluation services with us, all clients need a verified external referral from Kaiser after their screening. Please contact your Kaiser clinic for processing. If you do not have the referral, Kaiser will not reimburse your fees. If you have an older referral, we advise you to call the clinic to confirm it is still valid.
Other Insurance/Self Pay
Dr. Weng is an out-of-network provider for other insurances. If you use our services, you will be expected to pay the full fee yourself. We offer you Superbill receipts for the service you receive from us, and you can submit them to your insurance for possible reimbursement. Most insurance companies may cover part of the fee (50-80% typically) for out-of-network providers like us.
