I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist in the State of California. I completed my doctoral training at the California School of Professional Psychology, San Diego (Now Alliant International University). My experience includes over 30 years in the field of human services and I have been a licensed Psychologist since 2011. I have worked with a diverse group of clients that face a wide range of challenges across numerous treatment settings including: corrections, hospitals,community Mental Health clinics, as well as specialized treatment facilities.

My therapeutic approach is best described as cognitive behavioral, however, I utilize an eclectic array of modalities in treatment and for conceptualization. My therapeutic style emphasizes collaboration and direct communication. We will work together to identify your goals and create a plan to work towards meeting them. I will work with you to explore and identify the obstacles that get in the way of your happiness and well-being.

We will work together to learn about and develop ways to overcome the obstacles that can be changed. Some examples of the obstacles which we can work towards changing might include: anger, depression, anxiety, trauma, fear, relationships, or problematic behavior. At the same time our work will focus on learning to accept, understand, and cope with the obstacles that realistically we cannot directly change. Examples of some of these obstacles might include: chronic medical conditions, aging, mortality/existential issues, disabilities, world events, or being exposed to hurtful behavior by others.

Do you Accept insurance?

Yes!

Kaiser Permanente

Before scheduling psychotherapy or assessment/evaluation services with us, all clients need a verified external referral from Kaiser after their screening. Please contact your Kaiser clinic for processing. If you do not have the referral, Kaiser will not reimburse your fees. If you have an older referral, we advise you to call the clinic to confirm it is still valid.

Other Insurance/Self Pay

We are out-of-network providers for all other insurance companies. If you use our services, you will be expected to pay the full fee yourself. We offer you Superbill receipts for the service you receive from us, and you can submit them to your insurance for possible reimbursement. Most insurance companies may cover part of the fee (50-80% typically) for out-of-network providers like us.
